Damage & services
What we repair and replace
Auto Glass Mobile is a mobile service. The technician brings the glass and the tools to wherever your vehicle is parked, across Greater Baton Rouge.
How the damage decides the repair
Three types cover most of what we see
-
Bullseye
Usually repairable
A round chip with a dark center. Repairable in most cases when it is smaller than a quarter.
-
Star break
Often repairable
Short legs spreading from the impact point. Repairable while the legs stay short and out of your line of sight.
-
Long crack
Usually replacement
A line running across the glass. Once it is longer than a dollar bill, replacement is the safer call.
Size, depth, and where the damage sits all change the answer. The technician checks it on site and tells you which one you are looking at before any work starts.

Full windshield replacement on cars, trucks, SUVs, commercial vans, and fleet vehicles. The technician arrives with the glass, sets it with automotive urethane, and lets it cure before you drive — all at your home, office, or job site.
- OEM and aftermarket glass, priced side by side so you choose
- ADAS camera calibration done in house, not sent to a dealer
- Insurance billed direct when the glass is covered
- Same-day appointments when the glass is in stock
Chip and crack repair
Chips and short cracks filled with resin before they spread far enough to force a full replacement. A repair keeps the factory seal intact, takes well under an hour, and costs a fraction of new glass.
- Bullseye, star break, and combination chips
- Cracks caught early, before they run
- Keeps the original factory-sealed windshield
- Send a photo and we will tell you if it qualifies
Door, side, and back glass
Side windows, quarter glass, and rear glass replaced on most makes and models. Broken tempered glass gets vacuumed out of the door and the interior before the new glass goes in, so you are not finding fragments for weeks.
- Door glass and quarter glass
- Back glass, including the defroster connections
- Window regulators and motors
- Sunroof glass and side mirrors

Answers
Common questions
The things people ask before they book. If yours is not here, ask us directly.
Do you come to me, or do I have to bring the vehicle in?
Auto Glass Mobile is a fully mobile service, so we come to you. The technician drives to your home, office, or job site with the glass and the tools already in the van, and the work is done where the vehicle is parked. There is no shop to drive to and no need to leave the vehicle anywhere overnight.
What areas do you cover, and how far will you travel?
We are based in Prairieville, Louisiana and travel up to 75 miles for auto glass work. That covers all of Greater Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes: Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Livingston, West Baton Rouge, and Iberville.
Towns we go out to regularly include Baton Rouge, Prairieville, Gonzales, Geismar, Dutchtown, St. Amant, Denham Springs, Walker, Zachary, Baker, Central, Port Allen, Plaquemine, Addis, Brusly, St. Gabriel, Sorrento, Livingston, Watson, and Donaldsonville. If you are near the edge of that range, call and ask.
Can a chip be repaired instead of replacing the whole windshield?
Often, yes. We do both repairs and full replacements, and a repair is almost always the cheaper and faster option when the damage qualifies. As a rule of thumb, a chip smaller than a quarter can usually be repaired, and a star break can be repaired while the legs stay short and out of the driver's line of sight. Once a crack runs longer than a dollar bill, replacement is the safer call.
Size, depth, and where the damage sits all change the answer, so send a photo and we will tell you which one you are looking at before any work is scheduled.
What kinds of auto glass do you work on?
All of it. We replace and repair:
- Windshields, including chip and crack repair
- Door glass and quarter glass
- Back glass and rear windows
- Sunroof glass
- Side mirrors
- Window regulators and motors
We work on cars, SUVs, pickups, commercial vans, fleet vehicles, semis, and RVs.
Do you recalibrate the ADAS camera after a windshield replacement?
Yes, and we do it ourselves. Many newer vehicles have a forward-facing camera mounted to the windshield that runs lane keeping, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. Move the glass and that camera has to be recalibrated or those systems can read the road wrong.
The calibration is done in house as part of the job, so you are not sent to a dealer afterward and there is no second appointment to book.
Do you install OEM glass or aftermarket glass?
Both. OEM glass is made to the vehicle manufacturer's spec and carries their branding. OEE and aftermarket glass is built to the same fitment and safety standards at a lower price, and it is what most insurance claims are written for.
When we quote your vehicle we will tell you what is available for it and what each option costs, so the choice is yours rather than ours.
Do you work with insurance, or do I pay out of pocket?
We bill insurance directly. If the glass is covered under your comprehensive policy, we handle the billing with the insurer so you are not paying the full amount up front and waiting on a reimbursement. Bring your policy number to the call and we will tell you where you stand.
If you would rather not file a claim, we quote and take payment directly too.
Can I get same-day service?
Yes, same-day appointments are available when the glass for your vehicle is in stock. Call or text early in the day for the best chance at a same-day slot.
We answer Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm, and Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
Is there an extra charge for mobile service?
It depends on how far we are driving. Around Prairieville, Gonzales, and Baton Rouge, coming to you is part of the job. On longer runs toward the edge of the service area, travel time is factored into the quote, and you will be told the full number before anything is booked. No surprise line items when the work is finished.
All forms of payment are accepted.
Who actually does the work?
Sam, the owner of Auto Glass Mobile LLC, does the work himself. He has been in auto glass for ten years, is certified in urethane adhesive systems, and handles ADAS calibration in house. The person who quotes your vehicle is the person who shows up and fits the glass.
